Chapter Blue

My thesis collection comments on my evolution from childhood to adulthood. I mix elements from finca workwear and victorian childrenswear. Finca archetypes are taken from my childhood photos where my family and I are at my grandfathers house. These archetypes are: the button shirt, jersey polo, denim trousers, denim jacket, bomber jacket and raincoat. 

Workwear archetypes like the symbolize adulthood which usually encompasses duty and responsability. Victorian childrenswear expresses innocence, freedom and imagination of the childs mind via gathers, pintucks pleats and victorian embroidery patterns. Combining these two elements I created a collection that balances free, imaginative spririt with responsability and order.
